This year, we are giving Baluchon, <a href=\"https:\/\/cheeseloverca.wordpress.com\/2014\/05\/11\/le-baluchon-named-canadian-cheese-of-the-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canadian Cheese of the Year<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>It&#8217;s a simple way to make a cheese lover happy, or to introduce a non-believer to Canadian artisan cheese.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Buy the Baluchon.<\/li>\n<li>Buy a small slate or board.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap Baluchon in plastic wrap so the cheese visible, add a handful of walnuts and apricots, and possibly a Christmas decoration.<\/li>\n<li>Wrap in cellophane.<\/li>\n<li>Attach a bright ribbon.<\/li>\n<li>If your budget permits, add a cheese knife.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To really impress, add a wine or beer.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Any tasty wine, red or white, that has a lot of aroma,&#8221; recommends Marie-Claude Harvey of <a href=\"http:\/\/fromageriefxpichet.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Fromagerie F.X. Pichet<\/a>, expressing a personal preference for shiraz.
