Starting with smoked duck tartare and concluding with salted chocolate caramel for the road, the menu is posted above. The dinner starts at seven o\u2019clock, Saturday, June 1.<\/p>\n<p>The eight outstanding cheesemakers taking part are all under the <a href=\"http:\/\/fromagesduquebec.qc.ca\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Plaisirs Gourmets<\/a> banner.<a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-schedule\/gastronomy-on-the-farm-with-jamie-kennedy\/wine-dine-with-francois-gagnon-at-the-grange\/px_francois-gagnon_500w-2\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6329\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright\" title=\"px_francois-gagnon_500w\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/px_francois-gagnon_500w-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.foodnetwork.ca\/topchefcanada\/season1\/bios\/francois-gagnon\/28028\/story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Top Chef Canada contestant Fran\u00e7ois Gagnon<\/a>, a seasoned chef who has worked in the best restaurants in Quebec, France and Vancouver, owns <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/LunchInsolite\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Lunch Insolite<\/a>, a trendy sandwich shop and flourishing catering business in Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<p>Until a year ago, when he was featured in the Cooks &amp; Curds Gala at last year&#8217;s Cheese Festival, Fran\u00e7ois was a private chef for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aedifica.com\/\">\u00c6difica<\/a>, a prestigious architectural firm in Montreal, where the design culture stimulated his use of color, texture, technique and flavours to produce visually and conceptually inspiring meals daily.<\/p>\n<p>Just before joining \u00c6difica in 2011, Chef Gagnon took part in the first season of Top Chef Canada on the Food Network, finishing in the top five.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-schedule\/gastronomy-on-the-farm-with-jamie-kennedy\/wine-dine-with-francois-gagnon-at-the-grange\/caroline_winery\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-6330\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft\" title=\"caroline_winery\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/caroline_winery-233x300.jpg\" width=\"233\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a>At <a href=\"http:\/\/grangeofprinceedward.com\/#\/about\/4571560867\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Grange of Prince Edward<\/a>, the title \u201cpresident and CEO\u201d doesn\u2019t do justice to Caroline Granger\u2019s job description. Caroline began with planting and managing 10 acres of vineyards all on her own. From there she oversaw the restoration of the historical barn that now houses the tasting room and cellar, as well as the construction of a brand new wine making facility. In those same years she oversaw the planting and management of a crew for another 50 acres.<\/p>\n<p>Caroline now over sees, winemaking, viticulture, tasting room, and sales herself. Perhaps \u201cchief, cook, and bottle washer\u201d would be a more apt title some days, but Caroline wouldn\u2019t have it any other way.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Grange of Prince Edward is a family-run winery,&#8221; she explains. &#8220;We produce only 100% estate grown and made wines because we want our wines to reflect our region and our distinct style. We grow seven varietals and produce three distinct lines of wine to suit our diverse clientele.
