A craft brewery, Church-Key Brewing, and a chocolate maker are also on the itinerary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\">The popular <a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-schedule\/county-cheese-tour\/\">County Cheese Tour<\/a> continues, with stops at Black River Cheese, in operation since 1901, and the new County Cheese Company where cheesemaking will start this summer. Fifth Town Artisan Cheese will be added, if it has re-opened by May 31.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/\">The third annual Great Canadian Cheese Festival<\/a> takes place Saturday and Sunday, June 1-2, in Crystal Palace on the Prince Edward Fairgrounds in Picton, in the heart of Prince Edward County in Ontario&#8217;s Bay of Quinte Region. Cheese tours and a class on cooking with artisan cheese are offered on Friday, May 31.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\">The Great Canadian Cheese Festival is a multi-faceted event that annually attracts <a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-festival\/photo-album-2011\/\">thousands of consumers<\/a> to meet, learn, taste and buy the best in artisan cheese and fine foods and sample fine wine, craft beer and crisp cider.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dairygoodness.ca\/cheese\/all-you-need-is-cheese\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dairy Farmers of Canada<\/a> is the lead sponsor, presenting seminars throughout the day in the <a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-schedule\/cheese-fair-artisan-market\/all-you-need-is-cheese-annex\/\">All You Need Is Cheese\u00ae Annex<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.bayofquinte.ca\/tourism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Bay of Quinte Region<\/a> is a major sponsor. Also on the program are <a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-schedule\/seminars\/\">Tutored Tastings<\/a> where experts offer guidance on a variety of cheese topics. At From the Farm Cooking School, Cynthia Peters leads a hands-on class in <a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-schedule\/artisan-cheese-cooking-class\/\">cooking with artisan cheese<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left:30px;\">Outstanding wine and-dine-with-cheese experiences are offered on Saturday evening. Winners of the Canadian Cheese Grand Prix are on the menu as the cheese course at <a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-schedule\/gastronomy-on-the-farm-with-jamie-kennedy\/\">Gastronomy on the Farm with Jamie Kennedy<\/a>. Cheesemaker Ruth Klahsen is paired with Chef Michael Hoy for <a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/the-schedule\/wine-dine-at-huff-estates-winery-with-a-chef-and-a-cheesemaker\/\">Wine &amp; Dine at Huff Estates Winery<\/a>. Additional chef-driven events are still to be announced.<\/p>\n<p>Advance ticket sales are under way at <a href=\"http:\/\/cheesefestival.ca\/tickets\/\">www.cheesefestival.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Last year, close to 100 exhibitors and vendors and more than 3,000 consumers made the event the biggest cheese show in Canada representing producers from coast to coast.
