Talk about an ultimate take on comfort food! No wonder <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thestar.com\/living\/food\/article\/888351--pork-parfaits-rule-the-royal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jennifer Bain raved about it in the Toronto Star<\/a> after sampling the dish at the <a href=\"http:\/\/royalfair.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Royal Agricultural Winter Fair<\/a> last week.<\/p>\n<p>For cheese lovers, there is a diverse selection of tastes to be had at the Gourmet Expo which runs till Sunday:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cypressgrovechevre.com\/company\/our-story.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cypress Grove Cheese<\/a> from Northern California and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sobeyscorporate.com\/sustainability\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Sobeys Ontario<\/a> team up to present a divine plate of four goat cheeses made by Mary Keehn, one of the founders of the artisan-cheese movement in the U.S.<\/li>\n<li>A delicious selection of classic and contemporary goat cheeses is available at the stand operated by <a href=\"http:\/\/ontariogoatcheese.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ontario Goat Cheese<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Devil&#8217;s Rock, a creamy blue cheese from Northern Ontario, and squeaky cheese curds are front and center at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.thornloecheese.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Thornloe Cheese<\/a> stand.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.majorcraigs.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Major Craig&#8217;s Chutney<\/a> is partering with two new artisan producers, <a href=\"http:\/\/primeridgepure.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Primeridge Pure<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/seedtosausage.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Seed to Sausage<\/a>, to present a dynamite charcuterie platter.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.dairyfarmers.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dairy Farmers of Canada<\/a> is presenting winners of the Canadian Cheese Grand Prix in tasting seminars at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dairygoodness.ca\/cheese\/all-you-need-is-cheese\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">All You need Is Cheese<\/a> stage.<\/p>\n<p>Also participating in the Expo: <a
